Vanilla Shakeology Is Finally Here!

Beachbody figured it out! Vanilla Shakeology is finally here! Why did it take so long? It’s simple–they wanted to keep their standards high. The vanilla that is in so many of the products that we consume is artifical vanilla and it is chemically processed. Here is a video of CEO, Carl Daikeler, explaining why Beachbody wouldn’t settle for less than pure. Check it out here!

I can now switch up between Vanilla and Chocolate and I have even made a swirl shake (2 parts vanilla, 1 part chocolate—so yummy!). I still love mixing it with water, almond milk, and ice.  I don’t blend–mostly because I am not a fan of cleaning the blender aaaand who has time to clean a blender with a 2 year old?  Here are some other recipes to try!

Vanilla Shakeology has 130 calories, 16g of protein, 14g of carbs, 7g of sugar, and 2g of fat. For more nutritional information and the list of ingredients, please download the PDF at bottom of

There is really nothing else like Shakeology on the market.  If you are interested in giving it a try but are not sure if you will like it, have no worries.  There is a 30 Day “bottom of the bag” guarantee–meaning, you can return the bag EMPTY and receive your money back!

Beachbody Challenge Packs 101

Here is a mini-course on the Beachbody Challenge Packs–what they are, what comes in them, how much they cost, and quite frankly, how you might spend more than you have to, if you don’t know you’re stuff.

Here’s the break down:

WHAT IS A BEACHBODY CHALLENGE PACK: It’s a Beachbody workout program and 1 month’s supply of Shakeology (any flavor) bundled together and shipped straight to your door for $2. In other words, it’s a bundle option that SAVES YOU MONEY!

WHAT WORKOUTS ARE AVAILABLE: Any of the Beachbody workout programs are available as a challenge pack.

WHY PURCHASE A CHALLENGE PACK: It’s simple. You. Save. Money. Here is where my math skills come into play.
Let’s say you were going to purchase the INSANITY Challenge Pack. This includes, Shaun T’s entire INSANITY workout program, a 1-month supply of Shakeology (any flavor), and a 1-month free trial of the Beachbody Club Membership (which now gives you access to Team Beachbody On Demand!!). It will cost you $205.

Now, let’s say you were to make the purchases separately. You would pay $119.85 for INSANITY, $129.95 for Shakeology, $13 for the 1-month Beachbody Club Membership, $12 shipping for INSANITY, and $12 shipping for Shakeology. That brings your grand total to….drum roll please….$286.80. You would save $81.80 if you purchased a Challenge Pack! I don’t know about you but I will take an extra $80 in my pocket any day of the week.

It gets even crazier. Let’s say that you know a little about Team Beachbody. Maybe you have already tried Shakeology and you love it. Maybe you want to learn more about the business and you are interested in being a coach. Well, you can sign up as a coach when you make your Challenge Pack purchase for FREE! The coach sign up fee of $39.95 is WAIVED. This means you have the potential of saving over $120!!

This is a no-brainer. If you are thinking about purchasing a Beachbody program and/or Shakeology, then you really need to consider the Challenge Pack options.

Tropical Strawberry Shakeology Review

I am going to be completely honest in this review for Tropical Strawberry Shakeology.  I want to share my thoughts and hopefully you will have some of your own questions answered.
As soon as we got the shipment, my husband and I tore it open. There was so much talk and a lot of waiting for the the newest addition to the Shakeology Family. I added the contents of one packet, crushed ice, water, and almond milk to the shaker cup and took my first drink. Holy sweetness! I couldn’t believe how much strawberry flavor was packed into one sip.
It was a little grainy when I compared it to Chocolate and Greenberry Shakeology but then I realized that it wasn’t a fair comparison. Tropical Strawberry is a vegan shake made from fermented brown rice and not whey protein. Another difference in consistency was the thickness. After having Chocolate Shakeology as a regular part of my diet, I got used to the thick and smooth texture.
The next day, I made the shake in a blender with more water, more almond milk, a banana, and ice. Now this is what I was waiting for! Smooth and creamy deliciousness. But wait, the next day I added a few tablespoons of plain yogurt. I really didn’t think it could get any better. I have also added frozen mango and blueberries and I am beginning to think that the possibilities are endless.
I am also happy to report that since the shake is vegan, it didn’t bother my tummy AND it didn’t bother the baby. I don’t know how much longer I will breastfeed but I am relieved to know that I can finally enjoy Shakeology again and we both can benefit from its nutrition.
See for yourself. Give Tropical Strawberry Shakeology a try. Let your taste buds be the true judge!
